Dr. Daniele Fulvi

Daniele was born in 1988 in L’Aquila, Italy, in the beautiful region of Abruzzo, although he has been calling Sydney “home” since 2016. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Western Sydney University, as well as a Cedils certificate for teachers of Italian as a foreign language from the University of Venice (Italy).

After a brief teaching experience in his hometown in Italy, Daniele started working in the Italian language program for adult learners at Co.As.It. Sydney, and he currently works as a Tutor in the School of Humanities and Communication Arts at Western Sydney University. Daniele has several academic publications and translations in his research field, but he also loves writing for the general public. He occasionally contributes to the Italian online newspaper The Vision, and is the author of the novel L’Altro (The Other).

Daniele is a very easy-going and approachable teacher. He always tries to stimulate his students’ interest and curiosity in all aspects of Italian language and culture, as well as to encourage students’ engagement and participation in learning activities. He is always ready to joke and to make learning a fun and enjoyable experience.

Depending on where you are located, Daniele will be able to meet you in the most convenient areas of the city, from Sydney’s CBD to the surrounding suburbs of Inner Sydney.
