The Dante Alighieri Society Sydney and the University of Sydney invite you to commemorate DanteDì, the international day dedicated to the Supreme Poet. This year's celebration delves into the profound impact of exile on Dante’s masterpieces.

Join us on Tuesday 25 March at the University of Sydney’s Camperdown Campus for an illuminating evening featuring renowned scholars Daniel Canaris (University of Sydney) and Diana Glenn (Ramsay Centre). The programme includes a screening of L’esilio di Dante (with English subtitles) and captivating readings from the Divine Comedy performed by university students. Charlotte Crowe, of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, will perform Psalm 113 a cappella and explore other hymns and psalms that might complement the overall atmosphere of the event.

Experience the transformative power of exile in shaping one of literature’s greatest works while connecting with fellow enthusiasts over refreshments.…
