About the event

From 18 to 24 November 2024, the 9th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World will take place, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. This year’s theme is 'Mediterranean Diet and Culinary Roots: Health and Tradition'.


To mark the occasion, the Sydney Office of the Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with Machiavelli Restaurant, the Provolone Valpadana Protection Consortium, the Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney and the Dante Alighieri Society Sydney, presents an elegant four-course dinner dedicated to Provolone, curated by Viola Buitoni alongside Chef Domenico Stefanelli of Macchiavelli. Each dish will be paired with a selection of fine wines chosen by winemaker Eleonora Marconi. During the evening, Viola will share insights on Italian cuisine and the Mediterranean diet, while Eleonora will introduce the featured wines and their characteristics.
