Bio

Ilaria comes from Reggio Calabria, in Southern Italy. She holds a Master in International and Diplomatic Science, a Specialisation in Cooperation at Development as well as a DITALS certificate of teaching Italian as a foreign language from the University of Siena (Italy).

 

After working for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tunisia, Ilaria moved to Venezuela and in 2018 to Australia. She currently teaches students of all levels, IB students and adults for several institutions and schools.

Ilaria speaks English, French and Spanish and she is a very easy-going and friendly teacher. She always tries to make learning as enjoyable as possible, stimulating students’ interest, curiosity and passion, focusing on communication and interaction. In her lessons, Ilaria loves to use games, role-play and authentic material to explore Italian cultural aspects.
