Bio
Laura was born and raised in the vibrant city of Milan, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Italian Philology. She then pursued a Master and a PhD in Italian Language, Literature, and Civilization at the University of Lugano in Switzerland, graduating with highest honours.
During her PhD, thanks to a mobility grant, Laura spent seven months as a visiting scholar at the University of Sydney. Captivated by the city and the warmth of Australian people and culture, she decided to make Australia her new home, eager to share her passion for Italian language and traditions.

Throughout her academic journey, Laura has helped international and local learners of all levels - from absolute beginners to advanced speakers - gain confidence and fluency in Italian. She has taught and coordinated university courses in Italian language and culture at both undergraduate and postgraduate students and has worked as a private tutor.
Deeply passionate about literature, music and poetry, Laura brings her love for Italian language and culture in her lessons, combining her academic expertise with a dynamic and student-centred methodology. Her goal is to make the learning process both enjoyable and rewarding, focusing on practical language skills and cultural immersion. Whether you’re preparing for a trip to Italy, connecting with your heritage, or simply exploring a new passion, Laura’s teaching approach is designed to inspire you and make learning Italian a rewarding journey.
